Uniform at Charfield
We expect all children to wear the school uniform as we believe this helps them develop a sense of pride and identify with our school. Below is information about the uniform at Charfield School. Please make sure all uniform items are labelled so we can reunite lost uniform with its owner!
Uniform can be purchased via the school office - forms are on the foyer and can also be found here: https://www.charfieldschool.org.uk/Parents/Letters/
Friends also provide a rail of pre-loved uniform in the foyer which people can take for a donation. Any old uniform you wish to donate can also be left there in the Friends’ boxes.
School uniform is as follows:
Footwear: all children are expected to wear low-heeled black footwear (not ballet styles shoes). Plain black trainers are permitted. All laces must be black.
PE kits can be worn on your child’s PE days. The children say they prefer this, we save lots of curriculum time by not getting changed in school and deal with much less lost property!
The PE uniform for all children is:Please note PE items should be plain with no logos. Shorts should be a reasonable length - no hot pants please!
Children are permitted to wear a watch and stud earrings (which should be covered or removed for PE). We will ask them to remove any other jewellery and this will be stored safely until they can bring it home.
Hairstyles should be sensible and suitable for school. Please do not send children with large headbands (e.g. cat ears) as we will ask them to remove these and will store them safely until they can bring them home.
Longer hair must be tied back for PE.
Forest school clothes
Children should wear their normal school uniform on forest school days with black leggings or joggers. They will also need wellies and waterproofs.
