Remote learning

Class Dojo is our primary platform for sharing remote learning. This is the online tool that many families used during the period when not all of our children were able to attend school.

Now that we are all back in school, teachers will continue to use Class Dojo to communicate about what is happening in class and provide updates on learning.

In the event of a partial or full lockdown, or if a child is unable to attend due to reasons relating to Covid-19, we will make use of Dojo to share learning and provide feedback. This will include the use of videos and links to online resources as well as worksheets set as assignments (which can be completed and submitted through their portfolio or printed and completed in hard copy). School staff will arrange regular online sessions for children to discuss things they are unsure about or finding tricky and will also arrange a weekly 'social' session for children to interact with each other.

We will still be sharing homework menus for the term and will continue to celebrate home learning at the end of each term.

This is in addition to the expectation that children read with an adult at least 4 times a week as well as practising spellings and number facts.

The documents below are suggested activities you may like to complete with your child if they are off school in the short-term, for example, if they are at home awaiting a test result for themselves or a family member. This material is not additional learning for children attending school or for when a whole-class bubble is working at home.
