On Tuesday afternoon we received news that Mrs Noall‘s baby had arrived. Benjamin Noall weighed 7lb 6oz. Mum and baby are doing well. Congratulations to the Noall family and their new addition!
Thanks to all the volunteers who gave their time on Friday and Saturday to work upon the adventure playground surface. It was an incredibly hard job that without the help of so many volunteers would have taken hours and caused lots of blisters!
What a team we are! good job, well done and thank you to everyone who helped with the bark on Friday and Saturday last week. With so many people involved the task was finished by 11am Saturday morning. The adventure play area is now looking super spruced and ready for inspection. Thank you again.
Thank you for all your MUFTI DAY donations to help with our May Fair
Thank you to all who have volunteered to talk to our children on Careers Day. I will send out a letter to all volunteers giving you more details next week.
The school has plans to widen the pedestrian gate to ease the bottleneck it creates. We are looking for people who have experience of working with stone walls. If you are able to assist us in any way please let the office or Debbie Riddle know.
Thanks
This years May Fair is approaching! We will again be having many attractions including: music and disco by The Riff Toads; country dancing by the children, rides, bouncy castle, stalls, tombola, games, craft room, military vehicles, fair ground organ, BBQ and refreshments and much, much more
We look forward to seeing you there
I am a little concerned about the bad habits a number of children are picking up whilst Wotton Road has been closed. Quite a few staff have told me about children running across the road before and after school without looking or using the crossing. I understand that the road is quieter at the moment but cars are still using this section and when the road re-opens I hope that these bad habits will stop.
There will be no drawing club on Monday due to the bank holiday; club will meet again on Monday 11th May.
Don’t forget that the school will be closed on Monday for the bank holiday! (Is that the sound of cheering children I hear?)
Tickets for this fabulous event will be on sale after school on Tuesday 5 May. At £3.50, including a "Phil Barnes" curry they are great value so please, if you can, come along and support the Tennis Club and Memorial Hall in their fundraising efforts.
There are now 69 lots to auction; details can be found at www.charfield.org. If you cannot attend but would like to bid for one of the wonderful lots, sealed bids can be given to Jake Barnes, Deb Field, Mandy Champion or Angie Hill before next Friday.
CHARFIELD PRE-SCHOOL OPEN DAY On Saturday 16th May 10.00- 12.00 pre-school are holding an open day. Please come along and meet the new team for a chat! We look forward to seeing you there.
