Our judging panel had a great time looking at the entries for our Extreme Reading Competition. Four children were selected they were:
|
Cole |
Kate |
|
Matthew |
Eleanor |
The four children were able to select a book from the Book Fair.
Congratulations and thank you all for entering
Last week our new outdoor classrooms were installed. The three canopies will be used for a variety of school activities from Art to Sports (not forgetting their use at school events such as the May Fair.) The children will be able to seek shade in the summer.
Many thanks (Yet Again!) to Debbie Riddle for overseeing and organising the installation.
On Thursday the school was invaded by book characters. There were so many different characters that we had to have a parade. You can find pictures of the day on the school website.
Many thanks to all the people who visited and bought books at our Book Fair. Thank you to Mrs Dormer who volunteered to run the book fair after school.
On Friday 13th March we will be holding a SMARTIES day to raise funds for Comic Relief. Children will be able to come into school dressed all in one colour to look like a smartie and donate 50p to comic relief.
Saturday 7th March 2.00 p.m. in the school hall. Any donations gratefully received, please bring to the hall on the day and come and grab some bargains as well!
Attached with this newsletter is the Annual Parents Survey. I would really appreciate it if you could complete this and return it to school next week.
The survey is important to us as we will be able to use the results to write next years Development Plan. The Development Plan is a list of things we want to improve in the school over the next year.
The B4058 will be closed from 16th March – 3rd April, from Watsome Farm to the Renishaw roundabout. A further closure for sewage works will take place from 6th April – 1st May, this is from 44 Wotton Road to the Village Hall. For more information visit the Charfield community website - charfield.org
