SCHOOL CLOSURE - Friday 28th November

I would like to thank all parents for their support last Friday. Closing the school was not an easy decision to make and your support was very much appreciated. .

However the bug is still be lingering about; if your child has been sick, please avoid sending them back to school until 48 hours after they were last sick.

ROAD CLOSURE

We have been advised that Little Bristol Lane will be closed from Monday 8th December. For full details visit www.charfield.org

MUFTI DAY – Friday 5th December

Thank You for supporting our Mufti day. The £1 donations have helped raise funds for the Air Ambulance Service. As you know the village really needs this service, the accident in the summer earlier this year proved how vital the air ambulance is. Many other schools took part in the event and I hope the Air Ambulance Service received a huge boost to their funds.

The Friends would also like to thank those who donated wine and water towards our Christmas Fair.

CHRISTMAS FAIR - SAT 6TH DECEMBER

Tomorrow is The Friends Christmas Fair. There will be lots to do and buy there; including a Secret Craft Room! I look forward to seeing you all there.

GOVERNORS MEETINGS

Our next governors meeting is 11/12/08 @ 6:30pm. The governors of our school play a vital role in helping us make the right decisions. We hold regular ‘Open ’meetings. This means that people are welcome to attend to see how governors are reported to and how important decisions are made.

BREAK TIME TUCK

Please note the kitchen will be unable to provide break time tuck on 18th & 19th December due to Christmas lunch and end of term cleaning. The price of toast and marmite will increase to 15p with immediate effect.

ATHLETICS CLUB

Next Wednesday will be the last club before Christmas.  The Club will re-start on 7th January 2009.

Just a reminder to parents of those children who are participating this Saturday morning.  Can all children be there for 9:40 at KLB for a warm up before the races commence at 10:00.  Don't forget to bring your running vests and numbers and wrap up warm!!  Look forward to seeing you there.  Mo, Nicky and Lisa
