Striving for excellence - learning for life

SCHOOL CLOSURE - Friday 28th November

Following advice from Environmental Health & Education Welfare Service, the school will be closed tomorrow. This is due to a widespread sickness bug amongst the children. The decision was made in order to contain the outbreak and avoid further infection. Over the weekend the school will be thoroughly cleaned.

The school will be open as usual on Monday 1st December.

If your child has been sick, please follow the school guidelines and avoid sending them back to school until 48 hours after they were last sick.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

STAFF VACANCIES & NEWS

YEAR 6 – POST

I am glad to announce that Miss Wiltshire was successfully appointed as a Full-Time Teacher on Monday. Miss Wiltshire will continue to teach Year 6 for the rest of this year.

Y6 CONWAY – By Tiffany

I have just been to Conway with year 6 and we are all glad to be back. We have had a great time and enjoyed ourselves. We had fun doing abseiling, rock climbing, canoeing, raft building, the nightline, drama, pottery, zip wire and the Conway factor.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Miss Wiltshire and Mrs Peer for taking us there and back. We even got to Conway early! We went on the train so we got there a lot quicker and arrived there a lot earlier. We had wonderful instructors to make sure no one got hurt. We want to thank our parents who paid for this fab trip and we are sure everyone enjoyed it The  people that sang at the Conway Factor  include,  Lucie B, Molly G, Isobelle W, Avigayl K, Hannah S, Luke H, Dane S, we also had some stand up comedy this was done by William S, James P, Astin L, Dane S so well done to all those people. Still when they were at the place where the Conway factor was we did dragon racing. Well done to Hannah S and Astin L for winning, hip hip hooray!!!

As you can see we all had a fantastic time, please can we go again? If you want to see the pictures look on our school website.

MUFTI DAY – Friday 5th December

This day is to raise funds for the Air Ambulance Service. As you probably know the village really benefits from this service as we saw in the summer earlier this year. Many other schools will be taking part in this event and I hope you can support us and the Air Ambulance Service by donating kindly

Thank You
