Our annual Firework Display is one of the school major events. Our Gates will open at 6pm and the display starts 7.15pm. Tickets are available from the School Office, Charfield Post Office, Charfield Garage, Steve’s Shop and The Railway Tavern.
See you there!!
Thank you for all your kind donations for our school Harvest Festival. The total amount raised was £125. We will use this money to help sponsor a child in the Gambia
Do you want to know more about how the school runs? The governors of our school play a vital role in helping us make the right decisions. We hold regular ‘Open ’meetings. This means that people are welcome to attend to see how governors are reported to and how important decisions are made.
The first of our consultations will be held in school on 14th October from 5:30pm – 6:00pm. This is a good opportunity for parents to come and discuss ideas or concerns with a member of the governing body.
Recently some of our Year 5 children have become ‘Playleaders’. They are organising and running games for the younger children to play during their breaks. So far they have done a wonderful job. But now they have a problem and they have written a letter asking for your help.
Dear Parents
Please could you have a look to see if you have got any spare toys that the school could have. Please could you make sure that they are working fully and have all the parts/pieces?
We would like these because some of Year 5 is doing some games for Reception to Year 3 and we haven’t got much for them to play with at the moment!
We hope you can help us.
Thank you very much, from
Year 5
Athletics club is now up and running. Anyone from Year 2 upwards is welcome; please call at the school office for a permission form. Please note there will be no club on Wednesday 22nd October. All forms for the K.L.B races must be in by Friday 17th October.
We are looking for adults to come in to talk to classes (or speak in assembly!) about their jobs throughout the year. I would really appreciate it if we could get a good range of occupations for children to find out more about the world of work.
If you feel you can help please contact the school.
P.S – Reception (our 4&5 yr olds) are looking for a brickie to show them how a wall is made. Anyone able to help?
