MR LAWDAY’S MOANING SECTION – SORRY!

SCOOTERS

On Friday a parent was knocked to the ground by children riding scooters. Please can you ensure that children do not bring scooters onto the school playground and that they dismount them at the school gate.

PARKING

Please can all adults bringing children to school by car, park either in Manor Lane or the Memorial Hall. Parking / stopping outside the school gates increases the chances of a pupil being involved in an accident

FIREWORK DISPLAY FRI 7TH NOV.

Our annual Firework Display is one of the school major events. Our Gates will open at 6pm and the display starts 7.15pm. Tickets are available from the School Office, Charfield Post Office, Charfield Garage, Steve’s Shop and The Railway Tavern.

See you there!!

LITERACY EVENING

Many Thanks to all the people who attended the Literacy Evening on Wednesday night. We received lots of positive comments about the evening and the children really enjoyed the treasure hunt! I would like to say thank you to all the staff for giving up their time to put the event on.

CHOCOHOLICS

Any chocolate orders required for Halloween need to be in by Wednesday 8th October. Please talk to one of “The Friends” if you need more information.

GOVERNORS MEETINGS

Do you want to know more about how the school runs? The governors of our school play a vital role in helping us make the right decisions. We hold regular ‘Open ’meetings. This means that people are welcome to attend to see how governors are reported to and how important decisions are made.

PARENT / GOVERNOR CONSULTATIONS

The first of our consultations will be held in school on 14th October from 5:30pm – 6:00pm. This is a good opportunity for parents to come and discuss ideas or concerns with a member of the governing body.
