INSET DAY MONDAY 29th NOVEMBER

A reminder that school will be closed on Monday for an INSET (Teacher Training) day

CELEBRATION ASSEMBLY – ACHIEVEMENTS OUTSIDE SCHOOL

Our next Friday assembly will be based around the awards and achievements that children have gained in the clubs outside the school. If your child has been awarded anything recently we would love to see and celebrate it.

FIREWORK DISPLAY FRI 7TH NOV.

Our annual Firework Display is one of the school major events. Our Gates will open at 6pm and the display starts 7.15pm. Tickets are available from the School Office, Charfield Post Office, Charfield Garage, Steve’s Shop and The Railway Tavern.

See you there!!

HARVEST FESTIVAL

Viv the Vicar has kindly agreed to lead a ‘traditional’ harvest festival in St John’s church on the 3rd October. We would like to invite you but due to a lack of space it is impossible. HOWEVER you can still play an important part. We are asking for donations of fresh food, tins etc to allow us to have an after school sale.

We are hoping to use the money we collect to sponsor a child in the Gambia. If you can help we would REALLY appreciate it.

CHARFIELD’S PUBLISHED POET

Congratulations to Charlotte P (Class 8). She has had her poem published in ‘The Best of Young Writers’

Very Impressive!!!

DO YOU SHOP AT MORRISONS?

If the answer is yes then you may be able to help us. The supermarket is running a ‘Lets Grow’ campaign.  For every £10 you spend in-store, you’ll receive a voucher that schools can collect and redeem for brand new gardening equipment including seeds, spades and greenhouses.

YELLOW MOON

Please find your new copy of the Yellow Moon catalogue. For those parents/carers who haven’t seen this before, it is a fundraiser for the Friends of Charfield School. For every purchase you make from the catalogue, we will receive up to 25% cash back. So, the more you, your friends and family order, the more cash-back we will receive. Please order DIRECT with Yellow Moon and it is IMPORTANT that you quote the unique Source Code on the back of your catalogue. Thank you in advance & Happy Shopping!
